The Worry Stone’s shape is the inspiration for the entire Worry Collection. Sometimes called palm stones, thumb stones, fidget stones, or soothing stones, their use has been recorded in many cultures, from ancient Greece to Tibet, from Ireland to the Americas. Psychologists now use them to offer relief from anxiety, PTSD, + even panic attacks, sometimes calling them ‘Anxiety Stones’ or ‘Grounding Stones’.
Our worry stone is inspired by the very earliest examples, which offer a satisfyingly smooth shape for the thumb to rub against. It is made from golden brass + is designed to live in your pocket, to be there whenever you need help to relax or relieve anxiety.
